No Weddings in MPJ!!!!!

Lordess Wondee has already made her feelings on the subject of weddings quite clear, but this video of a bride an hour before her big day from a nearby village perfectly illustrates why there are never to be weddings in MPJ!

Pay special attention to the bride when she walks in the door and keep your eyes peeled around the four-minute mark. You're Gunna Die!!!!!

Olive Garden Commercial
by Srberi (Fri Jan 5 2007 01:30:02 )
Last night while watching TV an olive garden commercial ran with a mom walking in to meet her "date". My question is, is the hostess Becki Newton?

Same here.
It most likely is her, as it's an older commercial.

I can't believe this topic was here... I JUST saw the commercial and thought, "That's the girl from Ugly Betty!"

That's exactly what I thought. I've seen it several times now and the more I see it, the more I think it IS Becki.

It's her. It's an old commercial and they've just begun reairing it. I noticed her features during the show tonight and just watched the commercial in slow-motion. I'm positive. [I know this sounds weird but]it's not only her bone structure--exactly--but her bottom teeth and the hostess' teeth are identical. I was in a scrutinous mode after tonight's episode--I'm also positive that the girl at "M.Y.W."--you know, who loved Betty's vest, was also played by Becki Newton. I watched the recorded episode an hour after it aired and have thought, since last week, that that girl looked really familiar. After watching the show, I am sure that it was played by her, the "Bizarro Amanda".

Lol I saw it too and thought the same thing, it looks a old commercial, but it is her with less makeup! Lol.

I'ts definately her playing the "Betty version" at "M.Y.W." I picked up on it right away but it took me several minutes until I was 100% convinced it was really her but then my daughter saw it too. She is a fantastic actress! I hate that I missed the Olive Garden commercial....sounds cute!

It's funny. I've seen the commercial tons of times but didn't really recognize her until tonight while watching Ugly Betty. I was watching Ugly Betty tonight and one of the commercials was the Olive Garden one and I definitely think it's her. :)

Re: Olive Garden Commercial

This is hilarious because she has some commercials posted under her "other works" but no olive garden... and yet it MUST be her, I absolutley cannot accept that it's not lol... it just looks exactly like her. And that is definitely her from "m.y.w." and that's confirmed through the abc credits for the show. anyway, if someone has any definitive proof that it's her, please post it so I can win my little bet.
Thanks and be blessed.

Child Rearing in MPJ

As a followup to yesterday's sunshine and roses, it's time for a page out of HED's Child Rearing Handbook.

Chapter 7-Sticky Kids

Nothing makes me crazier than sticky kids. You know the ones I mean, jelly smeared all over their face from ear to ear, sticky hands that grab you, the furniture, the walls, and in turn spread the sticky. Their clothes are permanently stained from whatever grossness they have chosen for the day. It's like, honestly, have you never seen a washcloth before kid? Jesus.

As parents/caregivers, it's your responsibility to maintain a sufficient level of non-stickiness.

Take me for example; one time my little cousin decided to eat some grape jelly out one of those little packets they have at diners. Eat it with a spoon. Gross. But what do I care? I'm not his mother. However, out of the corner of my eye, I see a huge globful of jelly miss his mouth, fall of the spoon, and head straight for his clothes. My hand reaches out, out of pure instinct and reflex, catches the jelly and before he can put the spoon down, I've marched him off to the bathroom to wash his hands. But wait you say, if the jelly didn't land on him, how is he sticky? I don't care. The point is, he's even less sticky after a handwashing than he might have been.

That's why I've already designed the perfect solution in my mind. My house will be specially equipped with a padded room furnished only with a drain in the floor. Kids make a mess, come in from playing, basically do anything other than breathe, they have to go into the drain room and get hosed off. Padded walls=won't hurt when I blast them with the powerwash.

That's me...ALWAYS Thinking.

Sunshine and Roses

As mandated by the MPJ Council on Child Rearing, no citizen will allow their child to become part of the 'Entitlement Generation.' Therefore, if said citizen's child's artwork is complete crap, you must tell the child 'Your painting is complete crap. What the hell is that, a house? Nice try. Play again.' As soon as MPJ citizens teach their children they don't all fart rainbows, MPJ will be a happier, more realistic place.
